Suggested Rules of Play
1. Up to 4 players may play at one time in a group.
2. Players must putt from the tee area no more than 18” from the back rail. (Estimate the distance.) The Starball putting cup (hole) should be placed on the end of the game where the logo is printed. Players may play the opposite direction if all players agree to the change.
3. A ball that is putted and sticks against a rail or other obstruction may be moved away from the obstruction by the length of the putter head. However, this benefit cannot be used to move the ball closer to the hole, thereby creating an unfair advantage. Common sense should prevail as to the proper direction to move the ball. If there is no way to achieve this, then the ball should be moved down the rail or obstruction in the opposite direction of the hole by a putter head, and then moved off the rail or obstruction by a putter head.
4. The ball must be putt into the Starball putting cup and stay. The Starball works very well and requires skill and finesse to make the shot.
6. Before the game begins, the Starball putting cup may be moved to any position on the course that is mutually agreed upon by everyone. Once placed, it must remain there while all of the groups play through. The cup may then be moved to a new location only after all of the currently playing groups have played through. Therefore, each new game may consist of all new cup locations and obstacles.
7. The hole should be placed in areas that provide maximum enjoyment and challenge.
8. The hole may not be placed any closer than 10 linear feet from the tee area. Exceptions may be made relative to the skills and ability and/or needs of the group playing. All players must agree to the new hole location.
9. All manner of bank shots are acceptable. Putting from the tee and banking off of the back rail into the hole is perfectly fine.
